This morning I had a dream that I was on a date with Judi Dench. At the beginning of the date I was madly in love with her, but by the end I was rather put-off by how rude she was and how she was constantly stuffing her face with sweets and cakes and pastries and very small, very expensive cappuccinos. She was wearing this strange, sparkly white dress but she kept spilling cake and pudding on it. Who knew Judi Dench was such a slob? At least I was looking really spiffy in my white T-shirt. It was probably the worst date I've ever been on.
Later on, I was spraying all the plants in town with a Coca-Cola/Water mixture to attract snakes to town to scare away all of the bunnies. Apparently the bunnies were really wreaking havoc and everyone thought snakes would be better. Or wait, maybe we were trying to attract bunnies to get rid of the snakes; I don't remember. I squirted one guy in the eye with the potent mixture after he made fun of my green shirt, but really I had only squirted myself in the eye since I was experiencing a bout of multiple personalities and that guy was just my alter ego. It turned out that my alter ego and I were fighting over some woman who wasn't interested in either of us, but I was pretty sure that she was slightly less uninterested in ME than in the other alter ego me who I had squirted in the eye with coca cola.
This woman had a flock of dogs following her everywhere she went. Each of the dogs was like a representation of one of her former boyfriends. There were some really mean, nasty, mangy looking dogs, and a few nicer looking dogs. My dog representative was a Weimaraner. My alter ego's dog was a Pomeranian.
Here's a video of a Pomeranian wrestling with a bigger dog:

Dreamtime
Ok, here comes yet another post about some strange dreams I've had recently:
I wish I could remember more of them because there were some other stranger ones. Man, dreams are weird. Speaking of weird dreams, remember that dumb girl pop band named Dream that was almost cool a few years ago? Yeah, I don't either. Man, I'm glad they didn't really make it, they're annoying. Here's their main hit single, He Loves U Not.
- Jennifer Aniston was driving around the ranch with some dead possum in the back of her truck. She made me pick it up and throw it in the trash and it was hard and crunchy and gross. After I put it in the trash she was off on her merry way.
- I was driving a bus rally-style to East Vail, but because I was late anyway nobody seemed too upset about it.
- I was running and leaping very high over a bunch of benches in a train station with some unknown friends. I think one person is in my Russian class. We took pictures and 3D Videos of each other using her humongous digital camera the size of a poster board.
- I bit into an apple that was really an orange, and then I went to the store for some spaghetti instead.
- There was a moth that kept flying past me and I kept telling it to go bother a butterfly or something, but it wouldn't listen and got angry and spit some moth dust at me.
- Someone told me to get on a pogo stick and I did, but with every bounce I went higher and higher but I didn't know how to stop it and eventually I was bouncing really high.
I wish I could remember more of them because there were some other stranger ones. Man, dreams are weird. Fun with Dreams
It was another night filled with strange dreams
- In some sort of McCarthyistic anti-communist era, Amanda got arrested for spreading communist propaganda door-to-door. I think Chewbacca got arrested too. Then I was gonna go help her get out of jail, but when I got to the jail to bust her out she was mad that I hadn't brought her any coffee and so she refused to let me bust her out. I think Chewbacca was there too, and I think he was trying to help convince Amanda not to worry about the coffee for now, so maybe he wasn't arrested in the first place after all... In the end I told her that she could just stay in jail if she really wants to, but to at least lock the door so strange people won't come and bother her.
- I was riding in the back seat of Grant's car and Jess was in the front seat and we were driving really fast down some dirt roads at night and he was doing a bunch of really insane maneuvers with the car, like spins and flips and stuff. The whole time I was talking on the phone to his dad trying to figure out if it was THIS weekend that they were going to Philly, or NEXT weekend. Then Grant got all worried that if it was THIS weekend then he would miss "Italian Weekend." This realization made him drive a little slower. We didn't crash, and I didn't get nauseous.

Strange Dreams
I've been having a lot of dreams the past couple nights. Does that mean I'm not sleeping well, or that I'm sleeping really well? Here are some of the snippets that I remember.
- I was walking down a dirt road to try to find Casey's car when suddenly I realized that there were venomous snakes all over the road and whenever I jumped away from the bite of one I was jumping right into the strike zone of another. I've actually had this kind of snake dream before and it's very unpleasant.
- Ding (a.k.a. Justin), Da (a.k.a. Amanda) and David were sitting on a couch together and I was laying on a different couch. They started wrestling with each other about something and David's foot ended up in Ding's mouth. Wrestling continued for a few more minutes and then Ding stopped and looked really uncomfortable/sick. He said that his tongue tasted like feet. He then kneeled over and started to do what looked like praying to Buddha, but then he started vomiting. Luckily Da was holding a plastic bag for him and she threw it away and the wrestling continued.
- I somehow gave Da pink and blond dreadlocks, and she looked pretty cool with them.
- I was crawling up The Hill in Boulder in a sleeping bag and it was pitch black out and really creepy. I had a flashlight that I was shining in peoples houses, and then suddenly I wondered, why am I crawling up the hill in the pitch black in a sleeping bag shining my flashlight at the houses? Granted, it is a pretty cool flashlight, but in the dream I was having trouble operating it very efficiently, pretty frustrating...
- Hmm, it seems like there was one more that I was going to try really hard to remember, but alas, I don't remember it. Anyway, they have all been kind of strange dreams, nay?
- Oh, now I remember. At camp we learned a dance to this one song that we all then performed on this special "International Day." Anyway, I dreamt that one night at camp they put this song on and we were all supposed to do the dance that we had learned for it. Well, we all did it, but we weren't very excited or energetic about it. At the end of the dance, the song ended and there was complete silence for like 5 seconds, and then the "DJ" or whatever, trying to get us all pumped up said something like, "Does everyone love that song or what?!" really energetically. Again, silence, and then some Jamaican guy says apathetically in a Jamaican accent, "yes, we love it." And then someone coughed. I thought it was so funny, that I think I actually woke up laughing.
And today's YouTube video... I can't say I'm a big Justin Timberlake fan, but this song Sexyback is pretty catchy, and I like the suits that he wears in this video.
PS. After having to go through my blog and delete a barrage of spam comments, I am going to require that you people fill in a word verification thing to post comments. It's pretty simple. Basically on the comments page below the window where you type your comments, there will be some random letters or numbers that you will have to type into another box. This is a way to verify that you are a real human being and not a spamming computer. I know it's kind of annoying, but so is deleting a bunch of spam comments... Thanks!

Dreams
Last night I dreamt that I was driving BMW's newest creation. It was a large mechanical caterpillar/scorpion. Instead of wheels it had mechanical legs. In front were two hands/claws that could be operated from the cockpit. I drove it through a restaurant using the claws to fling people and plates and cups around the place. My only complaint from my test drive of this new BMW was that the claws were very difficult to control and every time I tried to pick something up it was impossible not to break it. At the end of my short rampage/test-drive, the BMW representative asked me my opinion on the thing and I told him that I didn't think BMW should build it without first doing some more market research and fine-tuning the claw operation.

Another Fun Dream
I was taking the bus home after a long day at school when after driving south down Broadway, instead of turning EAST on Table Mesa Drive like it is supposed to, it turns WEST because the little old lady sitting up front tells the driver that she is going to the grocery store and hates having to cross the street to get there, so the bus driver says, "ah heck, I'll just take ya there then." and she gleefully swings the bus across Broadway to turn right instead of left. She then proceeds to drive up Table Mesa the wrong way, going completely past the grocery store, past the church, past my aunt's house, past Bear Creek Elementary School, all the way up the hill to NCAR where I was hoping she would turn the bus around, drop off the old lady and get on with it. But she does not do this. Instead, she proceeds to drive that bus straight up the Flatirons and then uses them as a launching pad for the bus/rocket. Next thing I know, we are all being launched high into the sky. I look around the bus to see what everyone else seems to think of this. One man is sitting in the back corner listening to his iPod and pretending to do the crossword puzzle in the paper; he doesn't seem to concerned about anything. But I see that a few other passengers, like myself, are starting to get a little T-O'd that the bus driver is blasting us to Utah at Mach 5 because we all have places to be and things to down back down on EAST Table Mesa Drive that the bus driver doesn't seem to care about even in the least. One person asked me if we were being abducted by Mormons. So then I decided that something probably needed to be done about the situation. So I went up to the driver and asked her if I could drive for a second, and she readily obliged, saying, "I don't even know how to drive this thing!" So I sat down in the driver seat as we were rocketing into space and turned that bus right back around. As Boulder approached, I scoped out Table Mesa drive and aimed for it. I landed that bus right on Table Mesa drive in front of the grocery store and let the little old lady out who was happy that she wouldn't have to walk across the street to get there now. Then the bus driver drove us the rest of the way down Table Mesa EAST and I was able to go home and get on with my life for once.

Delightfully Dead
Last night was another one of those dream-filled nights but I can't really remember many specifics. One of the major themes, however, was that I was dead. I don't know how I died, but being dead was really cool. I was able to fly around really fast. I was immune to different temperature changes. I could fly/walk through things. I could eat anything I wanted. I got to hang out with other cool dead people. One of them taught me how to make doughnuts out of... well basically he taught me how to turn just about anything into a doughnut (he used some old pork chops). We also got to drive around in really fast cars but we never got pulled over because we were dead; what can the cops possibly do to someone who is already dead?! I was also able to swim in the ocean as much as I wanted because not only was it really easy to get there because I could fly so fast, but I also didn't have to worry about holding my breath or anything.
Yeah, being dead was pretty cool actually and I don't think people should be too afraid of it.

Dreaming
I had some kind of strange dreams last night. Here's the part I remember:
My friend Ding (a.k.a. Justin) went with me to the Post Office to apply for a job there. For some reason, the post office was in the middle of McGuckins. Anyhow, I got back there and there was a really tall lady who I asked if I could apply for the job there. She said, "Sure!." So I proceeded to show her my resume, at which point she became very concerned and ran back to talk to her manager. She then came out and said, "Your resume looks very good, but there are two reasons that this won't work." I then sad, "Let me guess. 1) I'm a college student. 2) I'm not tall enough." She then said, "Yes, and we are also concerned about your Chinese skills because there is nobody here for you to speak Chinese with. And as a college student you can't work the hours we want you in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the weekends." "But yes I can," I said. "I am available those times to work! And I don't care if there isn't anyone here to speak Chinese with, I can speak English." "It just won't work out," the very tall woman snapped, and Ding and I walked away while I was cursing under my breath at her in Chinese. Then Ding said, "man, you really blew that interview." "I know," I said. "Maybe you shouldn't have used all those one-liners." And then I was thinking, "what one-liners? I don't think I used any one-liners." "Oh well, let's go get some Chinese food," I said. And that was the end of the dream.

Skiing
Instead of going to work and earning some much-needed money this last week of winter break, I decided to drive up to the mountains and ski instead. I didn't manage to get up to ski at all during last semester, and mom got me new ski boots and a cheap pass this year, so I figured it was a good move.
I drove up Tuesday evening in clear skies and clear roads, no traffic; pretty much optimal driving to Edwards conditions. I skied in Vail on Wednesday, but the snow wasn't very good and it was cold and cloudy so I quit a little bit early and went home for a nap.
that night it snowed a bunch and I went to Beaver Creek on Thursday and wore myself out trying to ski through all the fresh powder (for those who don't know, skiing through a bunch of powder is a lot of work and it really can wear you out). It was a fun day but the powder wore me out and I had to quit a little bit early and go home for a nap.
Then after Mom got off work, we drove to Crested Butte. It was an OK drive, but she doesn't like the way I drive and then that is frustrating for me too sometimes. We got to the hostel at about 10 and were pleased to discover that we each had our rooms to ourselves (for those that might not know, hostels have bunk beds in the rooms and there are usually other strangers of the same sex in the same room with you.)
Friday morning we got up early, drove up to the ski mountain, had breakfast because we were famished, and then went and got ready for a day on the slopes. Having skied almost exclusively at Vail and Beaver Creek for the past 7 years or so, we had become quite spoiled and it didn't take us long to realize that we weren't in Kansas anymore (well, actually we were never in Kansas to begin with, but I think you get it). Since we had never skied there before, we decided to go on a free guided tour of the mountain. Al, a retiree from Shreveport Louisiana with a strong suthun drawwl showed us around the mountain until lunch time. At lunch we just happened to run into one of the Ski School supervisors from Beaver Creek that Mom has worked with for several years now. Crested Butte is a neat little mountain with some neat terrain and is a cute town too, so it was a nice trip.
We took our time driving back on Saturday, stopping at two other ski hills to check them out (Monarch and Ski Cooper). Then once we got home we spent the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing.
Today I met Grant and Casey (college buds) and some of Grant's friends at Vail. The snow wasn't good in the morning and the light was really flat so we had a hard time seeing where we were going. But we toughed it out and headed way back to Blue Sky Basin where the snow was a little better. Then after lunch time a storm rolled in and it got a lot colder, it started snowing a bunch, and the snow got a lot better for skiing but the light was even flatter and it was even harder for us to see where we were going. At one point we were practically skiing blind because we could not distinguish the terrain that we were skiing on, so we wouldn't know we were about to hit a bump until we actually hit it. It was not very fun.
Another not so fun part of today is that my skis kept coming off and inopportune times. The first two times they came off I just fell and was able to retrieve them and put them back on with little drama, but the third time a ski came off, it launched me forward onto my belly and I went skidding across the cat-track face first on my belly, over the edge of the trail, and tumbling down an embankment about 15 feet, which I then had to climb back up in several feet of snow. I'm sure it was a very comical crash for those who witnessed it, but it was kind of scary for a second. Anyway, I guess I'll have to take my skis in to see why they were popping off my feet today and get that fixed.
Anyway, tomorrow is my las day to ski and then classes start on Tuesday. I am mostly excited about my classes this semester. I will be taking 3 linguistics courses; Intro to Linguistics, Study of Words, and Language Sound Structures. Then I have to take some other classes for International Affairs too, but I'm not as excited about those. So that's what I've been up to lately, The End.
---------------------------
On a completely un-related note, I had a weird dream the other night. It was a very long dream that I think went on for several hours, but the only part I can still remember is that I was at some big celebrity party with a bunch of famous people there. We were all eating hot dogs and I was sitting next to Brittany Spears, but for some reason she wouldn't talk to me, like she was really mad at me or something. And then we went outside to look at the stars, but it was the middle of the day and so none of us could see any stars, but we kept looking for them anyway. Brittany was still giving me the cold shoulder for some reason, maybe it was something I said.

Freaky Harold and Kumar-ness
Sometimes I think I must be psychic or something. How often do any of you think about Harold and Kumar, the guys from the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle? That's right, almost never. Sure, it's a hilarious movie, but I don't think about them very much either. I probably haven't thought about them for many months now. But last night while I was laying in bed half asleep, I was thinking about them. I thought about their movie, I thought about Kumar doing his Indian accent and doing surgery on the dying guy. I thought about Harold making out with the girl in the elevator in the end. And then I thought, "I wonder if they're going to make a Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam movie. I sure hope they do." And then my mind drifted on to some other equally random thought process.
Well then I get on the internet this morning and it's as if the dream-movie-internet gods were eavesdropping on my brain waves last night. Almost the very first thing I randomly come across on the internet is a link to an article about how rumor has it, Harold and Kumar are making a "Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam" movie. Yeah, pretty freaky. Anyway, if you for some reason haven't seen Harold and Kumar go to White Castle yet, you should. And then you should see Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam when that comes out too.
In other wierd pseudo-dream news, you know how I am trying to contest the mysterious 4th absence with my Chinese teacher? I last emailed her on monday and she still hasn't emailed me back. So last night I had a dream that I was on campus and she hunted me down and wanted to talk about it and she told me to follow her up to her office to talk. But then it took me like 2 hours to lock my bike to the rack because my lock was too short and there were a bunch of annoying guys playing really loud music and playing hackey sac on the bike rack and they kept jumping on me. Anyway, When I finally found my Chinese teacher, we went swimming in the ocean and avoided the issue and then she got bit by an eel and then we realized we were swimming in Venice and then a bunch of tidal waves came and I got pounded through three walls by one of the waves and I thought my sister maybe got hurt by the wave but she was laughing and I don't know what happened to the Chinese teacher, but I think I managed to talk her into dropping the 4th absence before she maybe died from the eel bite and the tidal waves. Yeah, it was a pretty wierd night for dreams. So what does this dream mean? Am I supposed to take my Chinese teacher swimming in Venice? Will that make her drop the absence? That seems unlikely...
